Long time, no talk!
Hey Hey! Things have been very busy lately, and I haven't had any time to post on this thing... my bad. I've been trying to split up my time evenly between shooting, music and life, but it's been hard to manage! Things have been going well with music lately, which has taken up the majority of my time. I am still shooting as much as possible when I'm not on the road... so I will try and post some of my new work soon.
Here's a poster I put together for our (Azeda Booth's) recent tour of Canada.

Hope everyone is well. Cheers!

New work!
Like everyone gets at some point, I've been stuck in a bit of a rut. But, during a quick trip to Montreal (le swoon!) and a new client, I was pushed towards something new. Something I really like! Here's a big thank you to Malcolm Brown (art director, extraordinaire) who I can credit to trying new (with a mix of the old) things.
These aren't the final illustration, but they're bits of the process of me loosening up, and a direction I'm excited about!
what would julie draw: the early years

Every drawer of drawings has to start somewhere; some beginnings are, uh, stranger than others.
Click the picture above to see the only drawings I did by the age of 4. I think it goes without saying that I must have spent some time in church.
Warning: Some viewers may find this ... creepy. I like to think of it as studies in crucifixes, personal struggle, anatomy, and, best of all, goatees (re: the drawings on cardboard).
greetings from montreal
I will be in Montreal for the next while. If you are in Montreal, or plan on visiting and would like to meet up, send me an e-mail. I will try and update as much as possible while I am away.
Enjoy your summer!
Gig Poster!
Phewwww! It's been too long since I last got to do a poster! Here's one commissioned by Paul James Coutts & Chains for a show they're playing with the most excellent Women & Mt. Royal in Edmonton on June 14th.
